"AD OCULUS" - Latin: "with your own eyes", "obvious upon sight"
ASMP South Florida is presenting a Member's Only Fine-Art photographic show at the Gardens Memorial Park, located in Boca Raton. The exhibit is scheduled to open August 23, 2007, and will run for 3 months. The Gallery at the Gardens is non-profit, but any print sales would require a 10 percent donation to the American Cancer Society. Any and all members in good standing are invited to participate.

What is it? - This is a Fine Art exhibit , please, do not submit obvious commercial work.
Who will attend the gallery opening? - The Gardens has a mailing list of their own covering Palm Beach county area. The last gallery opening at The Gardens was attended by over 200 art lovers, collectors and buyers.
Can I invite friends, family, clients, etc.? - Yes, please send your mailing to David Durbak at the address listed below and The Gardens will add your names to their mailing list
How do I submit? - Please send JPEGs of your images, 1,000 pixels on the longest side at 72 p.p.i., to David Durbak at david@durbak.com. You may also mail a CD containing your JPEGs to:

Please embed your contact info in the JPEGs and title each one with your name; i.e. DavidDurbak01.jpeg, DavidDurbak02.jpeg, etc.
What other info do you need? - Please let us know image size in inches (framed), title of the image (if applicable), and price.
How many images can I submit? - As many images as you please. If you submit 20 images and all images are accepted, be prepared to tell us how many images you will actually be presenting to the exhibit.
How are the final pieces to be presented? - The images are to be gallery ready, ready to hang. Matted, mounted, framed, or mounted on plexi or aluminum or any other finished manner of presentation. The key is gallery presentation ready.
What kind of images can I submit? - The Gardens asks for "tasteful" artwork which can be viewed by people of all ages.
Is this a juried exhibit? - Yes, Greta Lood, The Gardens gallery manager will jury the show.
Are there size constraints on the final pieces? - No, the gallery has space for very large images, up to 10 feet tall by 20 feet wide.
What is the submission deadline for JEPGs? Saturday, July 21, 2007
What is the image submission deadline to deliver prints? - Saturday, August 14, 2007
Where do I deliver prints? Deliver your prints to David Durbak at the same address listed above.
The Gardens will provide advertising, invitations, and food and drink during the opening. ASMP members who participate in the show may present a list of their own invitees and The Gardens will add them to the invitation list at no charge.
